I want use several sidebar menu's. The module is 'menu' and the position is 'sidebar left-1'.
When i only have 1 menu module with the same position it works well but if i have more modules pointing to the same position i do not get the correct menu displayed.
Any idea's?

you can create menu module position as you like. There is no limit.
Just create a menu module and add a position, for example > menu_001 or menu_002
And then assign the module position to your prefered position in layout manager.

I did that and created several modulemenu's. Only issue is when i assign the same position to them to the same position it doesn't update the side bar When i select that option in the main menu.I attached 2 screenshots of the website. the first is with "diver". When i click that option in the mainmenu it displays the sidebar menu correct. When i then select another option (vixy) in the mainmenu it does not update the sidebar menu.I this case i selected for both the position sidebar-left-3. I have other menu's (alpha and arrack) who are pointing to position sidebar-left-1 and sidebar-left-2. That works but i need plenty more sidebar menu's
In the layout manager i can add as many elements as i want on this position but i only have 3 positions i can assign them to (see attachedment). Don't understand why i should need more module positions.

1.) create a module, add it to any position see pic
2.) Now assign this new position to the layout manager
